Blatant touchdown trading violates the CoC (29 Oct 2006) Teams agreeing to run up the score by mutually agreeing to "run TDīs in alternating without defending each other" are acting against CoC Paragraph 2. Teams getting caught blatantly running up the score will suffer the following penalties: - loss of all winnings for the game - no MVPīs are awarded to either team - both team suffer a -3 modifier to the FF roll Coaches repeatingly violating the "no exchange" rule will lead to forfeit procedures against the acting team. "Blatantly running up the score" will be defined in the following terms: A team that is ahead by a decisively lopsided score may permit one (1) "mercy" touchdown late in the game. If time permits, they may then score a single touchdown in response, and the losing team is not required to risk their remaining players defending it. That's it. If more than one touchdown per team is exchanged, then the teams are in violation of the Code of Conduct. If there is an excessive amount of time remaining after the mercy TD is allowed, then the winning team either should run out the remaining turns in their final drive or shouldn't have allowed the mercy TD that early in the first place. The commish staff will monitor games to enforce this rule. In addition, the commish staff will pursue any claims of games that might have been played under exchange if we get reports about them. This ruling is in effect immediately. |
