New rules, specifications or modifications for the new season (17 Jan 2005) ___________________ Araby race Araby are now confirmed as one of the basic races of the OLBBL roster, and the changes to other races regarding Araby allies will be implemented shortly to the OLBBL site. Lizardman teams In a controversial vote (4 to 3), the Skinks now see their +1 modifier to injury rolls removed. Halfling Chefs and ally rolls It may not seem important, but the Chef makes his roll to steal opponent re-rolls before the ally rolls are made. It can make a difference in low TR games to get even more re-rolls to the halflings when a team with 0 rr due to the Chef has to make its ally roll and fails one or more. Peaking players The procedure of peaking players once they reach 251 spp+ is actually done during the postgame, which means they could reach 251 spp and gain an mvp at the end of the game, peaking them at 256 spp. Disassociating B-teams from premier teams It will now be possible for B-teams with undesired premier teams to become permanently independent from the premier team associated with it. The official rule is as follows : The premier team can't have another B team unless the first one goes to premier, but the first one can be disassociated and go independent if desired, whereas its original premier team can't have a new B team until the independent team hits premier. Ignoring +MA and +AG It has been decided that it would now be possible to ignore a +MA or +AG result in favor of a normal skill. It will benefit everyone, especially coaches that don't have the time to mercilessly cycle their players to obtain what they want, and the Free Agent page may actually have more interesting players on it instead of the +MA or +AG rejects we're used to see there. Note that these changes are not retroactive, and don't allow you to follow this new modification to players having gained +MA or +AG in previous seasons (sorry?). Converting bounty money into +Fan Factor The commish team has agreed on this, and the official rule is as follow: Teams now have the opportunity to convert generally unwanted bounty money that gets put back in circulation anyway into "charity fund donation", giving generous teams bonus Fan Factor. 100K = +1FF, 250K = +2 FF, 400K = +3 FF, 600K = +4 FF. Obviously, this can only work at the same time one or more bounty is collected, thus the total amount of multiple bounties gets converted (for example, two bounties are collected at the same time, one of 100K, the other of 250K, the team earns a total of 350K of bounty money, meaning they can convert 250K to get +2FF, keeping 100K in treasury). Premier teams and Free Agents Premier teams with active B-teams for the season cannot buy Free Agents. The other premier teams don't have this restriction, but must play a minimum of 4 games after re-activation (start of the season or mid-season activation) in order to be allowed to bid on a Free Agent. Premier Item Store The Store is ready! It is modest for now, but we hope to further the choice of items with the suggestions of you, the coaches. You are encouraged to read the page carefully. The link will be available shortly on the OLBBL quick links (bottom of most olbbl pages). For now, here is the link: "Premier Item Store" Commish team Commish "Cujo" "ELFishski" "MightyQuinn" "Mowie" "Ratphlegm" Assistants "Khelanya" "KillerZee" "Nomor" "Souly" |
