ROLLING THE DICE


All dice rolls are handle by IRC bots (NuffleBots) who reside in channels 1-8 of the main Blood Bowl chat server. These bots are trained to recognize commands typed in as messages in the chat area. These commands are all prefixed with nb to get the bot's attention.

1.0 Weather: nb weather - Type nb weather in the chat area to roll for weather. Nufflebot will reply with the current weather (Sweltering Heat, Very Sunny, Nice, Pouring Rain, or Blizzard).

2.0 Kickoff: nb kickoff - Nufflebot replies to this command with the results from a roll on the Kickoff Table.

3.0 Agility Rolls: nb X+ - Rolls a single die and indicates if the result was greater than or equal to X. Nufflebot also returns the number that was rolled.

4.0 Multiple Dice: nb XdY - Rolls a Y-sided die X times and returns the total rolled. This format is useful for gate rolls, for rolling a single 8 sided die for scatters, or for selecting a random player for MVP.

5.0 Blocking Dice: nb Xdb - Rolls X blocking dice where X is a number from 1 to 3 and returns the results (SKULL, POW/SKULL, PUSHBACK, PUSHBACK/POW, or POW).

6.0 Armor Rolls: nb armX [+A [+I]] - Rolls an armor roll against a player with an Armor Value of X, and if successful also does an injury roll (using Sigurd's Injury Rule). The optional values of A and I are modifiers to the armor roll and injury roll respectively.

   AviStetto: nb arm7 +1 +1
   NBot1: Armor roll: 8(9), successful.
   NBot1: Injury roll: 5(6), STUNNED.

7.0 Foul Rolls: nb foulX [+A [+I]] - Rolls a foul roll against a player with an Armor Value of X, and if successful also does an injury roll (using Sigurd's Injury Rule). The optional values of A and I are modifiers to the armor roll and injury roll respectively. Also indicates if the result of the roll was doubles.

   NBot1: Foul roll: (2, 4)=7, foul not successful.
   AviStetto: nb foul9 +3 +2
   NBot1: Foul roll: (4, 4)=11, DOUBLES, foul successful.
   NBot1: Either re-roll, or roll injury with "nb inj [+modifier]" and eject the offending player.

8.0 Injury Rolls: nb inj [+I] - Rolls an injury roll and returns the results (using Sigurd's Injury Rule). The optional value of I is for any modifier to the injury roll.

   NBot1: Injury roll: 8(8), KNOCKED OUT.
   AviStetto: nb inj +1
   NBot1: Injury roll: 9(10); the casualty roll: 3, BADLY HURT.

9.0 Re-rolls: nb rr - Re-rolls the most recently made roll.

   NBot1: 2-- Failure.

10.0 Pro Re-rolls: nb pro - Rolls a Pro skill roll, and if successful, re-rolls the previous roll.

   NBot1: Re-rolling...
